About this project:

MCCB and C.E. Janecek were partnered through the first ever Authors & Artists Exhibition held by The Fort Collins Art Mart at Old Firehouse books in March 2023.

Through this exhibition, these two created an illustrated poem - with final pieces in the form of a large-scale central piece, and 175 accordion books for guests of the event to bring home.

Concept Brief from MCCB:

“While reading C.E.’s piece, I was drawn to the moments of contrast - warm bodies vs. cold water, passion vs. awkwardness - and wanted to explore how color could reflect these same moments of contrast in a storytelling setting. It was a pleasure interpret their work and find common ground through our creativity.“
